Contessa Louise Cooper 0:04
Hello, everyone, my name is Contessa Louise Cooper, and I am a neurodivergent data witch. And we also have
Dr. Kimberly Douglass 0:15
Hello, I'm Dr. Kimberly Davis and I am also on neurodivergence data witch
Contessa Louise Cooper 0:22
I'm just so excited. I, I just, it's I was trying to, like, contain myself, but I just can't because this all came out of just a relationship that you and I have together. And it just came together so naturally. And so I just want to give you guys a little bit of background, I'm not gonna be here long, because we really want to get into like the meat of this. But I think it's important for you to understand where this idea of data witches is came from. So I study spirituality, I've been studying it for the past five years or so. And I was doing a study on divination. And so when I first started, I was working with Oracle cards. And then with tarot cards, and I started studying, throwing of the bones. And if you don't know what that is, you can, you know, send me a message and I'll get into a throwing of the bones is. And as I was doing that, and looking at the information, looking at the data, looking how the symbols correlate with the bones that I had in my hands, I went to Dr. Kimberly and I was like, Hey, I think I realized something, the data that I was studying a setting Python and, and, and visualization and all that this is all the same. And this is all deeply related to one another. So being able to take the data from what I'm doing spiritually, and kind of transferring it over to the data that I'm seeing here in this world, and how we can use it in business is the same thing.
Dr. Kimberly Douglass 2:06
It is the same thing. And the flip side of this is each one of the readings, the things that you were picking up, they're all data points. That's held a story. And if you look at the flip side of that, if you look at what's happening on Facebook, and you look ahead, so And by the way, my background is in Information Science, so I'm an infrastructure person, so I'm looking at how networks, how they're set up, how they connect people to each other, how do you communicate across networks, if you look at the flip side of this, if you look at Facebook, there are days when I have to log off of Facebook, because the data that I am picking up from Facebook is so energetic, and and I can feel what is happening in the world. And so Facebook, Google, tiktok other social media, they get really close to telling us who we are at a deep down core level.
Contessa Louise Cooper 3:16
And even if you're lying to yourself, you cannot lie to this platform.
Dr. Kimberly Douglass 3:21
Yes, Facebook understands you at a very deep level, because Facebook is looking at what you post publicly, what you're searching, what you post to friends only to certain friends and what you keep private. So it's just like, there was this guy, he wrote a book that predicted that Donald Trump would win the election. And this isn't political. This is just to make a point. The reason why he got it right, and the traditional polling companies got it wrong. He was looking at Google searches, he was looking at what people really want to know when they're by themselves, when they feel free to express who they are.
Contessa Louise Cooper 4:08
That's powerful. That's powerful. And so what's next, what are we going to do with this revelation that you and I kind of discovered?
Dr. Kimberly Douglass 4:19
Yeah. So this is the synergy of this is just wonderful. Contessa, and I have worked on multiple things in the progression here has been really interesting. We co hosted Contessa ahead a panel on a regular panel on clubhouse, and I call her the golden voice because I love how she sounds. And so we did that. And we realized that we had a really good synergy then and that's FahFo By the way, hello.
Kang "Fuckaroundandfindout" Arthur 4:46
Hello.
Dr. Kimberly Douglass 4:48
We realized we had a really good synergy there. But then also we continue to have conversations in which we talked about infographics and we were looking to see how could we portray relationships. And just at various points, we work together on different things. And so now we're at this point where we have what we're calling in a MicroCast, and our newsletter, the hashtags are data cast, hashtag, micro cast, hashtag data witches, and this is the data cast with the neurodivergent data wishes, witches the neurodivergent data witches. As Contessa will say beautiful things happen when you know. But just to give you a little more insight, a couple more things about the data cast. We're doing this because we want you to look at what you're doing in your business, and how what you're doing in your business, connects to your industry, connects to your community, connects to your clients, to your vendors, connects to the world. And numbers provide us a great deal of information and insight to help you do that. And the final thing I'll say is that we tend to be afraid of numbers, right? Because we've been taught to be afraid of numbers. But what we want to make clear, because we're going to make this very simple. This is about relationships. This isn't about oh my god, you got to do this and budget, spreadsheet, whatever. Now I could do it, I could work a spreadsheet. But this is not about spreadsheets. I love a spreadsheet. But this is not this is about relationships. And this is about connecting. And the point the numbers live inside the story numbers are not separate from the story. They're not something that you have to construct, and go do over here in a worksheet. We're taught, we're going to pull out numbers each week that have meaning to what you're doing on a database, and it has to be meaningful and will be delivered in a 20 minute episodes.
Contessa Louise Cooper 7:02
Yes, so that is our data cast. And we want to invite each and every one of you to take part in this. Can I call it an adventure? Is that we're about to have ration?
Dr. Kimberly Douglass 7:18
Yes, yes, definitely. So So here's the thing about the two of us that I think we both accept fully, that when you sit down and you have a conversation with the person you are co creating, you're not just talking, it's not one person talking. You are creating new content when you're having these conversations. So there's my content, there's your content, then there's the content that comes from the relationship. Then there's the content that comes from the synergy that we have with our audience. And I'm looking forward to all those different forms of CO creation.
Contessa Louise Cooper 7:57
Oh, me too. This is going to be a beautiful, beautiful thing. So subscribe, subscribe, subscribe, subscribe, subscribe. I'm telling you there's nothing else like of this. any where else and we want each and every one of you to be a part of this of us of our story. This is going to be great. Thank you so much. Kimberly
